Palma Old Town or a coastal villa?

An apartment in Palma Old Town and a villa near the coast offer very different ways to spend your time in Mallorca. The right choice depends on how often you will be here, who will stay with you and what you want outside your front door.

Old Town living: step out into Palma

Consider the Old Town if you want to walk to cafés, shops and cultural places. Compare the building as carefully as the apartment: stairs or a lift, shared areas, light, sound and access for luggage all affect daily life. A terrace and nearby parking are separate things to check, even when the address is right.

Villa living: make room for life outdoors

A coastal villa may suit you if a private garden, pool and space for guests are priorities. Think about who will maintain the home while you are away and how you will reach the places you use. Check the actual outlook and route to the sea. A sea view and walking access to a beach are different benefits.

Compare the practical commitment

For an apartment, ask about the building’s condition, shared costs and any planned works. For a villa, look at the whole property, including the garden, pool and any equipment that needs regular care. Compare the full picture with your advisers before deciding what feels manageable for you.

Unsure which would feel more like home?

We can start with one suitable home in each setting. Seeing both with the same priorities in mind is often more useful than comparing photographs online.
